Skellefteå Airport has a 1 MW power supply dedicated for electric aircraft, eVTOL, high power charging, energy storage etc. and is top 3 in the world regarding movements with electric aircraft thanks to Green Flight Academy that are operating one of the worlds most sustainable flight academies at the airport.

Collaborate with Arctic Aviation Hub

With three locations in Skellefteå and strong support from local partners, Arctic Aviation Hub can offer unique infrastructure for the development of drones, eVTOLs, battery- and hydrogen aircraft and supporting infrastructure.

We are both a place to test and develop but also a place for early commercial implementation. We can cover many of the necessary areas in the development of new technologies and we are probably one of the best places in the world to do winter testing.

DJI Dock 2 installed at Skellefteå Droneport

Arctic Aviation Hub has now installed a Drone-in-a-Box system – DJI Dock 2 with Matrice 3TD – at Skellefteå Droneport. The system enables fully automated drone missions, which opens up new possibilities for remote monitoring, inspections and rapid interventions in all weather conditions.
