ELIS test center for electric aviation is attracting international interest
25 May 2022
Skellefteå aims to become a leading hub in the commercialization of electric aircraft in Sweden, and an important player in the international arena for the development of technology linked to the electrification of aircraft.
A delegation from the UK consisting of 15 innovation companies has visited Skellefteå with the goal of finding collaboration partners and synergies with Swedish companies within the field of electric aviation. The companies operate in various areas around technology development in sustainable aviation and see Skellefteå's investment in test centers as a great opportunity for the future.
Together with Skellefteå Kraft, ZeroAvia, and the airline BRA, Skellefteå Airport is making a joint effort towards hydrogen-powered flight in Sweden. This investment is part of the ELIS development program, which aims to accelerate the electrification of aviation.
ELIS invites to a seminar where we present the outcome of two innovative projects aimed to accelerate the introduction of electric vertical take off and landing aircraft (eVTOLs) and drones in the transport system.
